You’re responsible for your decisions, safety, and compliance with laws.

1) What these Terms cover

These Terms apply to your use of:

MadWorld42.com and related pages/features
Booking and participating in our 45-minute consulting session(s)
Any Mad World 42 web apps/tools (including beta or prototype tools), downloads, and resources
Blog content, newsletters, and contact forms

If you don’t agree, don’t use the site.

2) Who can use the site

You must be 18+ (or have a parent/guardian use the site for you).
You agree to provide accurate information when booking or contacting us.

3) What we do (and what we don’t)

We provide: planning support, analysis, education, and tools to help people think through preparedness, relocation planning, property readiness, and related topics.

We do NOT provide:

Emergency response services
Medical care, diagnosis, or treatment
Legal advice
Financial/investment advice
Guarantees that a plan, route, tool, or recommendation will work in your situation

You are responsible for verifying information, using good judgment, and staying safe.

4) Safety + “use at your own risk” disclaimer

Preparedness, navigation, route planning, and related activities can involve real risks (injury, property loss, legal issues, worse).

By using this site or our tools, you agree:

You understand there are risks.
You accept full responsibility for your actions and outcomes.
You will not rely on our site/tools as your only source of truth—especially in time-critical situations.

5) Consulting sessions (booking, rescheduling, refunds)

If you book a session through our site (including the 45-minute consulting session):

Rescheduling: You may reschedule with at least 24 hours notice (best effort; subject to availability).
No-shows / late arrivals: If you miss the session or arrive late, we may treat it as a no-show and may not refund.
Refunds: Unless required by law, sessions are generally non-refundable once delivered. If something goes wrong on our end, we’ll work with you to make it right (reschedule or refund at our discretion).
No promises: We don’t promise specific outcomes—only professional effort and good-faith guidance.

6) Your responsibilities (what you agree not to do)

You agree not to:

Break laws using our site or advice
Hack, scrape, probe, or disrupt the site/tools
Upload malware or attempt unauthorized access
Copy, resell, or redistribute our content/tools without permission
Use our content to train AI models or build competing datasets without written permission

7) Intellectual property (IP): our content stays ours

Unless we explicitly say otherwise, we own:

The website design, text, graphics, logos, brand names, and app/tool content
Any templates, checklists, visuals, reports, and educational materials we publish
Any software, code, and interactive tools we provide

What you get: a limited, revocable license to view and use the site for your personal, non-commercial use.

What you don’t get: ownership, resale rights, or the right to publish our work elsewhere.

Feedback you send us

If you send suggestions/feedback, you give us permission to use it without owing you compensation (you still own your underlying ideas, but we can implement them).

8) Your content (if you submit anything)

If you submit content (messages, files, notes, form entries):

You keep ownership of your content.
You grant us a limited right to use it only to provide services, respond to you, and operate/improve the site.
Don’t submit anything you don’t have the right to share.

9) Privacy, data protection, and security (plain English)

Our intent:

11) No warranties (we’re not promising perfection)

Uptime, error-free operation, or that a tool won’t change

12) Limitation of liability (major protection clause)

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

Mad World 42 LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
If we are found liable for any reason, our total liability will be limited to the amount you paid us in the last 30 days, or $100, whichever is greater.

13) Indemnity (you cover us if your actions cause problems)

If your use of the site or violation of these Terms causes us claims, losses, or legal costs, you agree to reimburse/defend us.

14) Changes to the site or Terms

We can update the site, tools, services, and these Terms at any time. If changes are material, we’ll try to post a clear notice on the site. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

15) Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Ohio, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

If there’s a dispute, we’ll try to resolve it informally first. If we can’t, disputes will be handled in state or federal courts located in Ohio (unless law requires otherwise).
